Game of Thrones Glass Artist: Danny Blade

    *****  NO SPOILERS ALERT  ******

Many of our gallery friends and collectors are anxiously awaiting the return of HBO’s Game of Thrones Season 6. You may not watch G.O.T. but we’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t at least heard of this spellbinding series. It’s wonderfully written, costumes are gorgeous, the photography and acting are so believable that you feel like you’ve lived in Westeros. The story line is brilliant yet so unpredictable and at times I hear myself screaming “No! No! No!” On social media I’ve read other fans swearing off the show on Sunday night but by Saturday they’re posting “I can’t wait!” If you haven’t watched and you need a guilty pleasure to keep you on your toes you should join the club. You’ll have fifty 1- hour episodes to catch up on the first 5 seasons. As huge fans we know this won’t be difficult. It will be nearly impossible tearing yourself away to go to bed each night. I can hear you now, “just one more episode and you’ll go to bed”; yeah right.

Glass artist Danny Blade of Gartner Blade Studio located in Shellbourn Falls, Ma. She's a thirty year glass veteran that specializes in lovely organic glass sculptures and vessels.

Lucky for us, Silver Queen Fine Art is even closer to the Game of Thrones. Our long time gallery artist and friend Danny Blade (Gartner & Blade Studio) has been commissioned to create oil lamps for the set of season 6. At this point we don’t know which scene, scenes or house they will be featured in but Silver Queen Fine Art just got a little bit cooler knowing Danny’s work will be used. Will it be the house of Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, Martell, Baratheon, Tyrell, Tully or Frey? Can you predict? Are you on Facebook? Would you like to wager? You could win a one-of-a-kind piece of glass from the set of the Game of Thrones.

Here are the participating rules.

1.)  “Share” this blog on your Facebook page and hashtag #SilverQueenFineArt.

2.) Post with this blog which house you think Danny’s oil lamps will be displayed in. Will it be Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, Martell, Baratheon, Tyrell, Tully or Frey?

3.) You may post and enter once a day to win.

4.) Privacy settings must be set to where SQFA Facebook moderators can identify the winner.

Danny will randomly pick a winner at the end of season 6,

~ ALSO ~  The first 10 people to post a screen shot of Danny’s piece from the actual show with the episode number, will also win instantly a Gartner & Blade Lamp. You must hashtag #SilverQueenFineArt.

Good luck from Gartner & Blade Studio’s and Silver Queen Fine Art. Remember someone’s gotta win; it might as well be you.
