Hill has become a leader in “plein air” painting, traveling all over the world painting on-site and in-the-moment. “I have learned that when I paint, I want it fresh and I want it now,” he says. “Time and place play major roles in how I envision each piece I’m working on.”

A big part of Hill’s work includes giving back to the art community. He spent several years as an art teacher and passes along the things he has learned over the years at his workshops.
